Gary Torgow is the Chairman of Huntington Bank, the 16th largest bank in the United States of America, with over 200 billion in assets. Huntington Bank has over 1,000 offices and 20,000 colleagues in seventeen states and is the number one SBA lender in the United States. The bank is coheadquartered in downtown Detroit, where Gary’s office is in the Chairman’s suite of the Huntington Tower. Mr. Torgow is Chairman of Business Leaders for Michigan, a roundtable of the top 100 CEOs and Chairpeople of the state’s leading companies. Gary also serves on the public company boards of DTE Energy and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, one of the state’s largest medical insurers. Gary serves as President of the Jewish Federation of Detroit and is a trustee of The Skillman Foundation and the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, two of Michigan's largest philanthropic enterprises.

Gary is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Law, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award, and has received honorary Doctorates from Alma College and Eastern Michigan University, where he served as commencement speaker at both university’s graduations. Gary was Chairman of the 2024 NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner, where President Joe Biden was the guest speaker. Gary was the recipient of the NAACP’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Urban League’s Distinguished Warrior Award. Gary has led numerous and critical efforts to support communities all across the state, including leading the fundraising for the City of Detroit’s Strategic Neighborhood Fund, where over 250 million was raised for seven Detroit neighborhoods. Gary is the founder of the Sterling Group, a Detroit real estate and development company, which in its history has owned the Guardian Building, the Chase Tower, the Marquette Building and a number of other landmark Detroit properties. The Sterling Group recently completed the construction of a 500 unit all-glass residential tower on the former Joe Louis Arena site, now known as Water Square. His company is currently building a 600 room JW Marriott on the waterfront, which will be directly attached to the Huntington Place convention center. Gary is the author of two books, Raising the Bar and Holy Warrior.

Jeff is a retired General Partner who most recently led the firm’s Institutional Investment Management client activities on a global basis. He joined BBH in 1984, was named a Partner of the firm in 1996, and served numerous investment leadership roles during his 40-year BBH career, including Chief Investment Officer, Head of Asset Allocation, and Head of Fixed Income Management. Jeff continues to work actively with long-standing clients of the firm, and he serves as a sponsor for the firm’s LGBTQ Affinity Group, BBH Pride, and helps lead BBH’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts.

Jeff is passionately involved in several philanthropic organizations. He has served in several leadership roles for the Jewish Federations of North American where he chaired its Israel and Overseas Committee, and today Co-Chairs its Israel Emergency Response Committee and its pipeline talent initiative. On behalf of the Federation system, Jeff serves as a member of the Board of Governors of The Jewish Agency for Israel. He is the Past President of UJA- Federation of New York, the largest local philanthropy in the world. Jeff is a board member of the Jim Joseph Foundation, focusing on Engagement, Education and Leadership Training for Jewish Youth and Young Adults, and also chairs its Investment Committee.

Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors of The Jewish Funders Network, joining other philanthropists to address critical societal challenges. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of amfAR, a leading cure-focused global HIV/AIDS research organization. Jeff serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the NPR Foundation, the country’s leading provider of journalistic excellence and programmatic content for public radio and podcasts, and also serves as a member of the Graduate Executive Board at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, working to expand Wharton’s impact as the foremost teaching, research, and experience led business school in the world.

Jeff received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

J. David Heller is the National Campaign Chair.He is the immediate Past Chair of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.    

In January 2009, President Barack Obama appointed Heller to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. In addition, Heller serves on the boards of the Parkwood Corporation, United Way of Greater Cleveland, the Cleveland Foundation, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.    

Heller is devoted to serving the Jewish community in northeast Ohio. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Jewish Community Housing and Gross Schechter Day School. He was Board President of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland, President of the Board of the Ohio Jewish Communities, and Chair of the Government Relations Committee at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.  

Heller is the President, CEO and Cofounder of The NRP Group, which is one of the largest multifamily development companies in the US. Since its founding in 1994, The NRP Group has developed more than 42,000 apartment homes and currently manages over 23,000 residential units across the nation. Prior to founding The NRP Group, Heller worked as a consultant for The Townsend Group where he was responsible for more than $3.6 billion in real estate investments over a two-year period. Heller then spent five years at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago as a manager in the real estate consulting division.  

Heller lives in suburban Cleveland with his wife Rebecca. They have four children: Lindsey, Ben, Ellie and Sam. 

Dena Boronkay Rashes is Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and also serves as the Chair of the Lay Leadership Development Committee. A graduate of Wellesley College, Dena serves on the Wellesley College Board of Trustees as well as the Wellesley College President’s Advisory Council. She is also a Board Member of Hillel at Stanford.

She is currently an American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Board Member on rotation; during her first decade of service she served on several standing committees of the board and held multiple leadership roles including chairing the Campaign for Camp Szarvas.

She is the immediate past Secretary of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston. During her decade of board service she also served as Chair of the Committee on Development, an Annual Campaign Co-Chair, and Co-Chair of the Bridge to the Future Campaign. Dena is a former President of the Board of The Rashi School, where she held multiple responsibilities over her 12 years as a board member, including Chairing the Development and Governance Committees and Co-Chairing the Capital Campaign to build the school’s permanent home.

Prior to leaving the workforce to care for her growing family, Dena worked as an investment banker. Dena and her husband Michael live in Newton, Massachusetts and are the proud parents of Emma, Lily, Daniel, and Hailey.

David Golder, former Founder and President of Lightfall Interactive Media, is an entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He currently manages Family investment strategy as Managing Partner of Golder Investment Management, LLC. He also manages philanthropic operations as Vice President and Treasurer of the Golder Family Foundation.

David recently Chaired the Board of Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. He sits on the Board of Trustees and formerly Chaired the Domestic Policy & Government Affairs Council for the Jewish Federations of North America. In addition, David is active on numerous boards including serving as the Former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Drake University in Des Moines, IA, Former Chair of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Skokie, IL and serves on the Board of AJC Chicago. He has also served on committees for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, the Illinois Venture Capital Association and is a Past-President of Temple Jeremiah in Northfield, IL.

David is a 1979 graduate of Drake University having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He continued his post-graduate education at the University of Chicago. David and his wife, Carol, live in the Chicago suburb of Glencoe, IL.

Julie Platt is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and is immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and immediate past Chair of the Foundation for Jewish Camp.

Prior to serving as Board Chair at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Ms. Platt served as their General Campaign Chair, Chair of their Ensuring the Jewish Future Strategic Initiative, and Chair of the Federation’s Sylvia Weisz Women’s Philanthropy.

She was honored with the Ruby Award for her commitment to leadership and community service, presented by Women’s Philanthropy. Ms. Platt’s lifelong connection with the Jewish community began at Camp Ramah in Ojai, and today she is a driving force behind shining a bright light on the transformative impact of a Jewish camp experience and raising funds for the field.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Platt serves on the Board of Trustees as well as Penn Hillel's National Board of Governors.

Sherri Ketai has held a wide and varied range of leadership positions within the Detroit Jewish community as well as nationally. 

Her roles at the Jewish Federation of Detroit include serving as 2015–2017 Annual Campaign Chair, longstanding member of the Federation Board of Governors, Vice Chair of the Executive Committee, Women’s Philanthropy Board of Directors, Lion of Judah Vice Chair and Leadership Development Chair. 

Sherri also has been an active leader within the Israel & Overseas Department, chairing and leading numerous missions and programs including those supporting Detroit’s Partnership Region and the Israeli Camper Program.

She has held several leadership positions for other Jewish organizations within the metro Detroit community, including Hebrew Free Loan, the University of Michigan Hillel and the Maccabi Games. For her work, Sherri was awarded the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2019 AFP Distinguished Volunteer Award. 

Nationally, Sherri is the Chair of Endowment and Lion Behind the Pin for National Women’s Philanthropy. She serves on the National Women’s Philanthropy Board and is a previous Class Chair and Mission Chair to Washington, DC. 

Most importantly, Sherri and her husband Jimmy are parents to Josh (and fiancée Bridget), Adam, Evan and daughter-in law Ashley.

Sara Gottlieb serves as Chair of Jewish Federation's Israel & Overseas Committee.

A former Investment Banker and Investment Manager, Sara now devotes her time to her true passion of Jewish community and Israel.

Sara currently serves as Chair of Women’s Philanthropy for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. She also is Co-Founder and President of Canadian Friends of Duvdevan. Sara sits on a wide variety of committees and boards including Jewish Federations of North America’s (JFNA) Board, JFNA’s Israel and Overseas Committee, JFNA’s Investment Committee, UJA of Greater Toronto’s Israel and Overseas Committee (of which she formerly Chaired), the Board of TanenbaumCHAT, and TanenbaumCHAT’s Major Gifts Committee.

Sara has previously chaired Major Gifts for UJA Federation as well as for Robbins Hebrew Academy and has served as Atarah Chair and Lion of Judah Chair for Toronto’s Annual Campaign. She is also a former board member of UIA Canada, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, and Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University.

Sara is an alum of JFNA’s Fisher Flight Program and Young Leadership Cabinet , Keren Hayesod ‘s Forum Steering Committee, and of UJA’s Joshua Institute. Sara was the proud recipient of UJA’s Young Leadership Award. When not volunteering, Sara can be found running marathons and travelling with her husband Darren and two sons: Koby and Cooper.

Jason Wuliger is the President of Nachshon Ventures LLC, which manages investments in private equity, real estate, and publicly-traded securities.

He is the Chair of the Domestic Policy and Government Affairs Council of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), serving on JFNA’s Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. He also serves as a National Co-Chair of JFNA’s Advocacy Corp, and is a National Young Leadership Cabinet alum. 

In Cleveland, Jason serves on the Board of Trustees of the local Jewish Federation, is Chair of the Government Relations Committee, and is a Campaign Vice Chair. He also serves on the Marketing and Security Committees, and was the inaugural co-chair of the Joyce Garver Keller Institute for Jewish Advocacy in 2021. He received the Cleveland Federation’s 2018 Bennett & Donna Yanowitz Young Leadership Award.

Jason is an attorney who previously served as Assistant Prosecutor in the Felony Division of the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, a Special Prosecutor for Lake County, a Magistrate in the Lake County Juvenile Court, and Acting Judge for the Willoughby Municipal Court. He was also the Cofounder of SplashLink, an online marketplace for the water industry.

Jason resides in the Cleveland area with his amazing wife, Allison, where they are raising their three incredible children.

Alexandra (Alex) Feinstein is a dedicated and passionate member of Greater Metrowest's Jewish Federation, with a longstanding history of involvement spanning several years. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Women’s Philanthropy at Greater Metrowest, where she has played a key role in the Federation’s initiatives. Alex previously co-chaired the NextGen initiative and served as Chair of Israel Programming within the Global Connections department. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Greater Metrowest.

As a member of the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA) Young Leadership Cabinet, Alex shares the role of Co-Chair for the Israel and Overseas committee. Additionally, she recently joined the JFNA Israel Emergency Response Committee, further expanding her impact on the global Jewish community.

Within Greater Metrowest, Alex was honored with the prestigious Julius and Bessie Cohn Young Leadership Award. She also co-chaired two solidarity missions to Israel, first in November 2023 and again in January 2024. Throughout her Federation journey, Alex has contributed her leadership and expertise to numerous task forces and committees, both within Greater Metrowest and the JFNA Cabinet. Her commitment to advancing the mission of the Federation is evident through her active engagement and the significant leadership roles she has undertaken within the organization.

Beyond her work in Jewish philanthropy, Alex is deeply involved in her community. She serves as a Big Sister mentor with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in Newark, NJ. She is also the Events Chair for her local synagogue and is on the Philanthropy Committee for her Jewish country club.

Alex graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion/Apparel Design and further honed her expertise at the London College of Fashion. In her professional career, she worked as a senior menswear designer for several prominent brands, including Calvin Klein, Andrew Marc, and Urban Outfitters. She is currently a Travel Advisor, passionate about helping others create unforgettable travel memories, just as she does.

Alex lives in Short Hills, NJ, with her husband, Jeff, their two children, Casey and Gemma, and their two dogs, Hank and Rocky. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and traveling the world with her family and Cabinet Chèvre.

Scott Goldin is the former Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of Goldin Metals, Inc. in Gulfport, Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business in 2008, he attended law school at Tulane University where he served as the law school’s student body president. He went on to earn an MBA at Emory University and an LLM with highest honors at George Washington University before moving back to Mississippi and taking a position with Goldin. Scott was previously appointed by the United States Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Mississippi District Export Council and has served on the board of the World Trade Center of New Orleans and as both the Vice President of the Penn Club of Mississippi and Treasurer of the Penn Club of Louisiana. He has served on the board of JNola, the NextGen program of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, and as the Social Co-Chair, Orientation Co-Chair, Membership Co-Chair, and current Philanthropy Co-Chair of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet. Scott also serves on the board of the Entertainment Law Legal Assistance Project, an organization that provides pro bono legal assistance to artists and musicians in the New Orleans area regardless of their ability to pay and previously served as the Vice President of the Metal Service Center Institute Gulf Region Chapter and that chapter’s Scholarship Committee Chair.

Sanford (“Sandy”) Antignas is Chair of the Board of Directors of the United Israel Appeal (UIA) subsidiary of Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). He also serves as a member of JFNA’s Board of Trustees, Executive, Israel & Overseas, Endowment, Nominating and Audit committees. He previously served as Chair of JFNA’s Governance Committee, a member of its Budget and Finance Committee and Chair of UIA’s Companies and Properties Committee.

He is Vice President of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY), Chair of its Community Relations Initiative, Chair of its Nominating Committee and serves on its Board and Executive Committee. Sandy previously served as Chair of JCRC-NY’s CEO Search Committee and Co-Chair of its Israel and International Affairs Committee.

For UJA-Federation of New York (UJA) Sandy currently serves on its International Planning and Allocations Committee. Previously he served on UJA’s Board of Directors and has chaired and served on many UJA Israel, global, national and local related planning and grant making committees, including most recently as Chair of its committee that coordinates UJA’s work in Israel. 

Sandy serves on the Board of Governors and the Executive of the Jewish Agency for Israel and on the Board of the American Joint Distribution Committee. 

He is an alum of the Wexner Heritage Program and the JFNA National Young Leadership Cabinet.

Sandy is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Trestle Management, a family office after serving as the COO of global asset management firms and member of various boards of directors in the US and overseas. 

He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (BS), earned his MBA from New York University and is degree candidate in International Affairs at Columbia University.

Ann Pava, President of Micah Philanthropies, is an activist, philanthropist, and thought leader. A natural community builder, Ann strives to embody the core Jewish values that animate her work, as expressed by the prophet Micah – “Only to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.”

As a philanthropist, Ann takes the lead in innovative giving while making all who participate feel counted and treats all those they support as valued partners. As an activist, she has the unique ability to bring all types of people together, analyze challenges, and devise solutions. Annbelieves that one of the strongest avenues to success for any organization is a strong lay and professional partnership. She is an articulate and passionate ambassador for the organizations and leaders she supports. A hallmark of her success over her career is her ability to inspire, mentor, and empower others, especially women, to lead and to make the world a better place.

Ann is a past chair of Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools and National Women’s Philanthropy of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). She is Founding Chair of the Hebrew High School of New England, and past chair of the Jewish Federation of Western MA. She currently serves on the boards of the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance, (JOFA) Prizmah, JFNA, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford. She serves as Committee Chair for the Graduate Program for Advanced Talmud Studies for Women (GPATS) at Yeshiva University.

Ann and Jeremy were proud to Chair GA 2021 on behalf of JFNA. She and Jeremy are PJ Library Alliance Partners, AIPAC Minyan members, and founders of the Jewish Free Loan of Greater Hartford.

Ann is a past recipient of the JFNA Kipnes-Wilson Friedland Award for outstanding women philanthropists. She also received the Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s Lay Leadership Award for Excellence in Jewish Education. She and Jeremy received the Connecticut ADL Torch of Liberty Award.

Ann enjoys spending time with Jeremy and their beautiful family including their three married children and six grandchildren and has become the world’s best babysitter. She is an avid reader of any type of fiction and loves to cook for company.
